Keep My Word

Beats for Books Vol. 1 @ Virgin Cafe Osaki!

B4B is all about having fun while doing good and Beats for Books is our newest concept for supporting childhood literacy in developing countries just by going out and having a good time.

Please join us for the world premiere of Beats for Books at the Virgin Cafe in Osaki. We're expecting nice and warm Spring weather so we can enjoy the outdoor patio while enjoying music from two great DJ's--Model Citiizen, who's mix of Electro House, Hard Minimal, and Rock has built him a huge fan base in Tokyo and DJ Fokus will be kicking it off with an eclectic mix of Disco, House, Latin and Tribal sounds.

For those of you new to B4B, the concept is simple: For every drink you have, $1 will be donated to Room to Read and that buys a treasured book for children via Room to Read.

Room to Read is an amazing NPO whose mission is to provide quality educational opportunities to children in developing countries with the goal of empowering kids via literacy. Room to Read has projects in 9 countries in Asia and Africa including Nepal, Cambodia, Zambia, etc. For more details see or in Japanese

Music, tasty food & drink, friendly people all coming together for a great cause. Can it get any better than that? Come out out and see for yourself at Virgin Cafe on April 17th and help us get Beats for Books off to a big start--hope to see you there!
